Watching video clips on TV

Hi ,

Like many Jubbers, I have a couple of external USB hard drives with tons of .mp4's.
I'm looking for a simple way to browse through my collection remotely, ie. from my bed.

I have heard about some remote control system for laptop computers.
You need to plug the IR receiver in an USB slot on the laptop. Then, the driver let you control VLC player or Windows Media Player using the remote control...

Ever heard about this ?
How do you guys watch your porn vids on a TV-screen ?
