Should America abolish the Democratic Election System?

You know where you vote to elect a president. I mean what is the point of this system? I never vote because all the candidates who I want to win never have a chance. E.g. Ron Paul will most likely never be president because he is simply neither good-looking enough nor is he articulate enough, but the man is brilliant which the average American fails to see.

And plus, the average American, like the average citizen in any country on Earth is a douchebag. They simply are not fit enough to select an intelligent candidate. In order to get elected, you basically have to fulfill two criteria: A. You have to be good-looking B. You need to be able to speak well. Some of the most intelligent people do not have either. So it's sad they get weeded out.

And plus, has anyone noticed that every single election is like an emotions game. They try to raise the emotions of people. The most prominent example is the Obama campaign. I forgot the slogan, but I remembered it was something along the lines of: change is GOODEH! or something retarded like that. Anyway, how many of the things he promised, did he fulfill? But then again, I'm pretty sure everyone forgot at this point which brings me back to the point of the average citizen in America (or anywhere else) is a douchebag. And before anyone calls me a fucking racist (because you will be called a racist even if you so much as say that he is doing slightly imperfect job), I just wanted to let you know that my ex was black. Because it seems every time someone questions his ability to do his job (he's not doing a good job, by the way because someone with more experience like Bill Clinton or Ronald Regan would NEVER let the Russians take Ukraine. I get the fact that he's afraid because he has no life experience.), you will get attacked as a racist.

(And speaking of Obama, it's so weird how this man was able to get elected since someone as young and with so little experience and accomplishment under his belt would never get elected in any other country be it England, France or Yugoslavia. His Ivy League Education wasn't even attained in a legitmate way, he was recommended by his church.)

Also, these campaigns cost a lot. the money that takes to power the Hilary Clinton's campaign would probably accomplish more if funneled toward a better cause like curing breast cancer.

Finally, the two democratic and Republican parties are quite divisive. It divides the population in two. E.G. the majority of JUB would never so much as touch Ron Paul because he is a "Repug".And also think of the stupidity of the situation. I'm pretty sure if you put a dog up as a presdiential candidate and brand the dog as a Democrat. I promise you this dog will get votes just because he is a democrat. And there is a possibility that the dog will be president at which point, we will have our very first canine president.History in the making.

So, this is why I think it's best for our country to just simply tear this system down and then let a group of elite individuals make decisions for the country. If you don't like my idea, think about this: would you let a stoner in your 11th grade class make decisions about how your life is run? Well, the democratic election process is doing just that. Or before every election, make people take an IQ test, and assess their education level, and only the top make the decision. I put IQ test in because some people may not have the money or resource to pursue higher education but still be quite intelligent.

This has been on my mind because this country is really going downhill, and in the future, as one analyst says, we may be even luck to become a North American version of Japan. Which I don't think we will. We probably will become an unimportant country like Brazil. Or Worse.

I keep hoping someone strong will come out of the woodwork, and completely tear down the system so that we may start fresh, because I fear the future for the US will not be pretty.
