Any recommendations for dating apps/or for finding and meeting new people?

I've tried OkCupid and match.com and I don't get much (if any) attention and i've changed up my profile a few times, changed pictures, and basically have spent way too many hours just searching for someone like me only to get nowhere and no response or we don't even get to a "let's meet up" before they disappear.

I've also tried plentyoffish but that really wasn't that great either. Any other good apps/dating sites out there? I've searched online and know there are a lot of them, but if you've found any that have worked for you, i'm interested in recommendations.
