Recent studies have shown people who have had transplants, or other conditions (cancers, perhaps HIV), may not show antibodies in their system when tested. Apparently, people with transplants were not included in vaccine trials, so it stands to reason that people with other compromised immune systems might find out -at a very in opportune time - (post-family gatherings, crowded events), that they’re not protected, and could actually contract COVID.
