Why do immigrants come to the U.S.?

Maybe this will help pull that issue out of a thread it's currently drowning.



I'm going to give a few reasons:

because from where they are, things here look a whole lot better
because hard work in their countries gets them nowhere, but here it does so better
because despite steadily disappearing liberties, the U.S. is seen as a land of freedom
