Is your identity real?

I'm wondering though, are we who we are?

Do we inherently have root character or does our character/personality shaped by random circumstances in the world you're living?

Imagine if..
-This is not your country
-You're not your current ethnicity/race
-They're not your family
-Christianity isn't your primary religion
-you're adopted
-you're disable
-
- etc..any random, imaginable circumstance/fate shuffling your upbringing.

Will you become a different person or are you still you?

Is it..

A+B= AB
(A= identity)
(B= circumstance)
(AB= identity+cir) meaning..identity will be shaped by outside influence but identity basically fixed in your preset since you born.

or

0+1=1
0+2=2
0+3=3
etc..
(0= empty identity)
(2,3,4,etc..outside influence) but also the final result of identity because identity basically did not exist without outside influence.

Which one is correct? :?
